LinkedinThe Art Of Transformation
An early photo of The Studio as a small thatched cottage on Main Street, Cong, Co. Mayo. Clearing the garden of this neglected property, we could see the devastation more clearly.
I fell in love with this derelict cottage. Empty for years, dangerously unstable, with a collapsing chimney and severe water damage but I could see the potential and knew this is where I wanted my new design studio to be.
Now - completely re-imagined, layer by layer with considered design and curated luxury furnishings. This space has now been transformed into the Client Suite where clients are greeted and can relax to discuss and review their project.
As always with derelict projects, time passes and dilutes the memories and unbelievable challenges experienced. Looking back now, it's wonderful to see how this unloved cottage has been transformed........
The Vipp Lounge, showcasing the iconic Vipp V1 kitchen built in aluminium and steel. A masterpiece of precision and design, it truly must be experienced in person to appreciate the craftsmanship and engineering behind its beauty.
Ivy crept through broken windowpanes as rain seeped in from every direction — nature reclaiming the ruin, one tendril and drop at a time!
Our quirky studio apartment for clients in residence.
